Volunteer and Internship
'“As a high school senior, participating in multiple charities, foundations, and internships has been incredibly fulfilling. Each experience has taught me the value of giving back to the community and the importance of using my skills to make a difference.”
Artmore
Esther Ha Foundation
I founded Artmore, a nonprofit dedicated to providing art-related opportunities for underserved communities, where I organized fundraising art exhibitions and directed free art classes open to all. I participated in celebrations and festivals regarding Asian-American Pacific Islander Heritage Month, Indian and South Korean Independence, and the commemoration of Gandhi’s legacy. Artmore brought artistic elements to these celebrations, creating flags and decorations that symbolize cultural pride and unity.
The Esther Ha Foundation is dedicated to providing mental health education and connecting individuals with affordable resources. During my internship, I leveraged my art background to design psychoeducational posters promoting mental health awareness, suicide prevention, and the 988 Crisis Lifeline both in English and Korean. I also provided administrative support for Youth Healing Camp, the foundation’s intensive group counseling program, which presented how early intervention and community support can greatly impact the mental well-being of those at risk.
